AIRAID® MXP series air intake systems are a premium line of cold air intake systems designed for high-performance cars and trucks. The core of an AIRAID MXP intake system is the one-piece rotationally molded polyethylene air filter box which replaces the restrictive factory air box. From there the factory dryer hose like air intake ducting is exchanged for an AIRAID intake tube constructed of cross-linked high-density polyethylene. AIRAID MXP air intake systems are designed using extensive computer modeling for an easy to install bolt-on performance upgrade without any need for additional modifications or tuning.
AIRAID air intake systems include a washable premium AIRAID air filter sized for improved performance, filtration efficiency, and long service intervals. Most AIRAID MXP air intake systems are available with four air filter choices using different filter media technologies and three colors. The AIRAID MXP premium air intake system for 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 Ford Mustang 3.7-liter V6 models can be purchased with a red AIRAID premium filter which combines multiple layers of oiled cotton filter media and a proprietary blend of SynthaFlow® synthetic materials or an AIRAID SynthaMax® 100% synthetic non-oiled air filter in a colorfast-dyed red, black, or blue.
