Since its introduction the Ford Power Stroke diesel engine has been synonymous with hard working Ford F-Series Super Duty pickups, Econoline Vans, and even the full size Ford Excursion. The Ford Power Stroke name has been applied to several different diesel engines beginning with the 7.3L Power Stroke. The 7.3L Power Stroke engine was succeeded by a smaller, but equally powerful 6.0L Power Stroke V8 in mid-2003 which continued to be built by Navistar International. Due to increasingly strict emissions regulations and the overall questionable reliability of the 6.0L Power Stroke an all-new 6.4L Power Stroke diesel was introduced in 2008. The 6.4L Power Stroke diesel engine was short lived, and by 2011 it was replaced with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel code named “Scorpion.”

AIRAID offers two choices of air intake designs, each with 4 air filter options, for the 1999-2003 Ford F250 / F350 Super Duty trucks equipped with a 7.3L Power Stroke diesel engine. AIRAID Cold Air Dam (CAD) Intake Systems are built upon the principle of cooler air being denser and offering more efficient combustion. AIRAID CAD intake systems utilize Cold Air Dam panels mounted where the factory air box was situated. These panels help keep the air filter isolated from hot engine compartment air by sealing against the underside of the hood with blade-style weather stripping. AIRAID 1999-2003 Ford F250 / F350 Super Duty 7.3L DSL air intake systems, 400-246, 401-246, 402-246, and 403-246 include a new molded HDPE intake tube and heat shield while air intakes 400-122, 401-122, 402-122, and 403-122 use a simpler design which retains the factory air intake ducting.

AIRAID Air Intake options for the 2003-2007 F250 / F350 Super Duty trucks equipped with a 6.0L Power Stroke diesel engine are a bit simpler. These trucks can be equipped with an AIRAID performance bolt-on AIRAID MXP^® series air intake system. MXP series air intake systems are a premium line of cold air intake systems designed with a one-piece rotationally molded polyethylene air filter box which replaces the restrictive factory air box and, in some cases, a new AIRAID intake tube constructed of cross-linked high-density polyethylene. AIRAID MXP air intake systems are designed using extensive computer modeling for an easy to install bolt-on performance upgrade without any need for additional modifications or tuning.

AIRAID rounds out its Ford Power Stroke diesel air intake system offerings with intakes for 2011-2015 Ford F250/F350/F450 SUPER DUTY pickups with the 6.7L Power Stroke Scorpion diesel V8

AIRAID MXP air intakes, 400-131-1, 401-131-1, 402-131-1, and 403-131-1 for 2003-2007 F250 / F350 Super Duty 6.0L Power Stroke diesel pickups do not include a new air intake tube. 6.4L Power Stroke diesel engine equipped 2008, 2009, & 2010 Ford F250/F350/F450/F550 SUPER DUTY trucks also have a MXP series diesel air intake upgrade option from AIRAID. Like the AIRAID MXP series air intake for 6.0L Power Stroke trucks, the 2008-2010 Super Duty 6.4L DSL air intakes 400-214-1, 401-214-1, 402-214-1, and 403-214-1 retain the factory air intake tubing. AIRAID air intakes for both the 2003-2007 and 2008-2010 Ford diesels are available with air filter media and air filter color options.

AIRAID rounds out its diesel air intake system offerings for Ford Power Stroke engines with intakes 400-278, 401-278, 402-278, and 403-278 for 2011-2015 Ford F250/F350/F450 SUPER DUTY pickups with the 6.7L Power Stroke Scorpion diesel V8. These air intakes are identical, with the exception of the air filter, and include a one-piece rotationally molded polyethylene air filter box which replaces the restrictive factory air box and a new AIRAID intake tube constructed of cross-linked high-density polyethylene. Taking the theory of cold air and heat deflection one step further, the AIRAID intake systems for 2011-2015 Ford F250/F350/F450 SUPER DUTY Power Stroke diesel trucks includes a heat shield for the Mass Airflow (MAF) Sensor to help ensure accurate readings.
