Each year, the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) presents an enormous trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Las Vegas Convention Center. At this show SEMA member companies and manufacturers unveil their latest offerings, while buyers, distributors and members of the press walk their feet off trying to see it all. The variety of products to see is astonishing, ranging from restyling accessories and automotive organizers to engine parts, restoration supplies, street-rod components and safety enhancements.

While the annual SEMA show is meant to bring the industry together to do business it has also become a vacation destination. As if there wasn't already plenty to do and see in Las Vegas, Nevada, the SEMA show gathers the finest examples of custom vehicles, industry giants, and celebrities into an area of approximately 3.2 million square feet. For 2015 the AIRAID SEMA Show Booth, number 24131, was located in the Las Vegas Convention Center central performance hall not too far from the Chevrolet SEMA booth.

As with past years, AIRAID, The Performance Intake Company, had a variety of exciting happenings in its 2015 SEMA Show booth. Probably the most prominent feature of the AIRAID SEMA Booth was the AIRAID carbon fiber air intake system equipped 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 owned by Ken Thwaits. Virtually nothing in, or on, Ken's Z/28 Camaro was left untouched. As impressive as the 7.0-liter (427 cubic-inches) Chevy LS7 engine is from the factory, Ken had the engine hand built by Mast Motorsports with an RHS block and Black Label heads to produce upwards of 720 naturally aspirated horsepower.

Most notably were the soon to be released to the public 2015 Ford F150 AIRAID air intake systems for the 5.0L V8, as well as the 2.7L & 3.5L Ford EcoBoost engines. In fact, Stratasys, the 3D Printing Solutions Company, had one of its 3D printers inside the AIRAID 2015 SEMA Show booth actively printing AIRAID Intake components. The folks from Stratasys brought a fully 3D printed version, minus the hose clamps, of an AIRAID 2015 F150 5.0L V8 air intake system to showcase the company's 3D printing capabilities.

The AIRAID 2015 SEMA Show booth wouldn't be complete without celebrity racer guest appearances and autograph sessions. 7-time 250cc AMA Supercross champion, and professional short course racer Jeremy McGrath as well as professional off-road short course racer Corry Weller made an appearance at the AIRAID 2015 SEMA Show Booth. Corry Weller was at the AIRAID SEMA 2015 booth on Wednesday November 4, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM signing autographs, while Jeremy McGrath stopped by the next day on Thursday November 5, 2015 and signed autographs from 12 noon until 1 PM.

AIRAID Cold Air Dam (CAD) System 350-210 fits 2011-2016 Dodge Challengers, Chargers, and Chrysler 300Cs equipped with a V6 engine as well as the 5.7L and 6.4L HEMI V8 engines

Never one to shy away from a fight for late-model muscle supremacy, Dodge offers the Challenger and Charger, while Chrysler has the 300C aimed more toward the luxury car market

The muscle car wars are back in full swing, with the Big Three steadily cranking out more powerful versions of their respective late-model performance cars. Never one to shy away from a fight for late-model muscle supremacy, Dodge offers the potent Challenger and Charger, while Chrysler has the 300C that is aimed slightly more toward the luxury car market. All three vehicles have three engine choices, the 3.6L V6, the legendary 5.7L Hemi, and the fire-breathing 6.4L HEMI equipped SRT-8. These engines all make decent power, but enthusiast know there is always more power to be had under the hood. AIRAID once again delivers what performance enthusiasts demand with two types of Cold Air Intakes that can increase power with an easy bolt-on installation.

The AIRAID 2011-2016 Dodge Challenger, Charger, and Chrysler 300 3.6L V6 MXP air intake system can be equipped with a red oiled filter, red dry filter, black dry filter, or blue dry filter

AIRAID offers a Cold Air Dam (CAD) System that fits 2011, 2012, 2013 2014, 2015 and 2016 Dodge Challengers, Chargers, and Chrysler 300C models equipped with a V6 engine as well as the 5.7L and 6.4L HEMI V8 engines. These systems consist of metal cold air dam panels that replace the factory air filter box. These panels bolt together and keep the air filter isolated from hot engine compartment air while adding additional areas for the engine to draw in cool outside air. Weather stripping positioned along the top of the panels seals against the hood and further isolates the filter from hot engine compartment air. The panels make room for a large premium AIRAID filter that is available in a variety of colors and media types. A filter adapter and short coupler connect the AIRAID assembly to the factory intake tube, completing the system. The CAD systems for all three engines are as follows: 350-210 includes a red oiled filter; 351-210 comes with a dry red filter; 352-210 also uses a dry filter, but in black, and; 353-210 has a dry blue filter.

AIRAID’s MXP Series Cold Air Intake Systems take things one step further. The MXP Series intake for MOPAR muscle consists of a complete replacement roto-molded intake box that drops directly in place of the factory air box and filter. Like the CAD system, the MXP intake box has weather stripping positioned along the top of the box that seals against the underside of the hood, effectively using the hood as a “lid” for the intake box. The AIRAID box utilizes the factory cold air inlet duct and also adds more forward-facing area to draw in cool outside air. A new engine-specific intake tube connects the intake box to the throttle body. Constructed of cross-linked polyethylene, the intake tube is designed to optimize airflow to the engine and has provisions for all of the factory sensors and fittings, so no modifications are needed. An oversize premium filter completes the system.

The part numbers of the AIRAID 2011-2016 Dodge Challenger, Charger, and Chrysler 300 3.6L V6 MXP air intake systems are: 350-317 red oiled filter, 351-317 red dry filter, 352-317 black dry filter, 353-317 blue dry filter. The AIRAID 2011-2015 Dodge Challenger, Charger, and Chrysler 300 5.7L HEMI MXP air intake systems are:  350-318 red oiled filter, 351-318 red dry filter, 352-318 black dry filter, 353-318 blue dry filter. The AIRAID 2011-2015 Dodge Challenger, Charger, and Chrysler 300 6.4L HEMI MXP air intake systems are: 350-319 red oiled filter, 351-319 red dry filter, 352-319 black dry filter, 353-319 blue dry filter.

Both the CAD and MXP systems are available with a variety of filter choices. AIRAID premium filters are offered with an oiled filter media in red or dry filter media in red, blue, or black. Following a crash at Wild West Motorsports Park the Jeremy McGrath Motorsports team worked to repair the Pro 2 truck for the Las Vegas, Nevada LOORRS rounds 15 and 16

AIRAID Performance Filters supported Jeremy McGrath Motorsports had a busy month of September getting the Pro 2 truck repaired after a massive crash at Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, Nevada near Reno, Nevada. Jeremy McGrath, a 7-time 250cc AMA Supercross champion, was fortunate to have walked away from what many people have called one of the worst crashes in off-road short course history. Jeremy McGrath and fellow Pro 2 racer Carl Renezeder made contact at the end of the front straight away where the trucks were reaching speeds of 95 MPH. The Loctite - Fuel Off Road Wheels Pro 2 truck driven by Jeremy McGrath hit the end of a k-rail barrier and took flight. The truck rolled several times before coming to a stop on its roof in the middle of the track. Luckily, McGrath radioed his crew and told them he was okay and getting out of the truck.

The Loctite - Fuel Off Road Wheels Pro 2 truck ran great for LOORRS round 15 but a rock became wedged in the carburetor linkage forcing Jeremy McGrath to settle for 5th place

Following the crash at Wild West Motorsports Park the Jeremy McGrath Motorsports team worked every day to make all the necessary repairs and get the AIRAID filters equipped Pro 2 ready for the Las Vegas, Nevada rounds 15 and 16 of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS). "It’s good to be at the track and have a new truck ready to race. Reno is behind us and we want to get back to winning." Jeremy told several fans during the Thursday practice session. The Loctite - Fuel Off Road Wheels Pro 2 truck ran great the next day for LOORRS round 15. Jeremy McGrath started the race from the fourth row but had moved up to the 4th spot by lap 10. On lap 13 bad luck struck again in the form of a rock that became wedged in the carburetor linkage. Jeremy McGrath would have to settle for 5th place in LOORRS round 15 because of limited power.

The Pro 2 race was the final race of LOORRS round 16 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the Jeremy McGrath Motorsports team was excited to race toward a Pro 2 podium finish

On Saturday night the Pro 2 race was the final race of LOORRS round 16 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Jeremy McGrath’s Loctite - Fuel Off Road Wheels AIRAID powered Pro 2 truck looked great and the Jeremy McGrath Motorsports team was excited to race toward a podium finish. Jeremy McGrath got an excellent start and was able to pass three trucks by turn one. Jeremy was on the move and heading toward the front before disaster struck on lap 5. A fuel line on the Loctite - Fuel Off Road Wheels Pro 2 truck ruptured and set fire to the truck. LOORRS officials immediately red flagged the race and Jeremy McGrath was able to exit the truck safely. The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series safety crew successfully put out the blaze very quickly.

Jeremy McGrath got an excellent start in LOORRS round 16 passing three trucks by turn one; however a fuel line on the Loctite - Fuel Off Road Wheels Pro 2 truck ruptured causing a fire

"It was painful to watch this very strong team suffer a malfunction and not finish the race. We all work so hard and love what we do. Off-Road racing can be brutal at times, but we can WIN again! We will go back to the shop and do some testing and try to finish out the year strong at our home track in Lake Elsinore, California on Oct 24th and 25th," said Jeremy McGrath after the disastrous events of Saturday night.
